Dear participants and guests of the Exhibition,

On behalf of the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan I am happy to welcome you at the 20th Anniversary International Exhibition MiningWorld Central Asia 2014, devoted to the topic "Mining Equipment, Mining and Concentration of Ores and Minerals".

The growth of industrial production, development of mechanical engineering, immense construction, increasing demand on utilities requires dynamics in the mining sector of the economy. Kazakhstan is currently ranked as one of the leaders in the world concerning the reserves, production and export of minerals and intends to dramatically improve the investment climate. The industrialization program is on its active phase and one of the priority sectors hereto are metallurgy and mechanical engineering. Besides, the Republic aims at a rapid innovation breakthrough in the world of cutting-edge technologies of the future and, above all, in the priority sectors, which include also mining and metallurgical complex.

Mining and metallurgical complex is the most important sector of the economy of Kazakhstan and one of the priorities of the State program for accelerated industrial-innovative development of Kazakhstan for 2010 – 2014. The main challenges facing us today are as follows: creation of competitive productions, modernization of existing enterprises in the industry, innovation development, providing industrial projects with the necessary infrastructure, expansion and ensuring the reproduction of the mineral resource base, training of qualified personnel.

The Ministry for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan supports the initiative of conducting of the exhibitions of a B2B (business to business) format, which are aimed at the development of international relations and investment.

I would like to wish all participants of the Exhibition fruitful work and great success in their undertakings.

De lapart de l'Ambassade de France au Kazakhstan, je souhaiterais saluer tous les exposants présents à ce grand salon consacré au secteur des mines et de la métallurgie.

En cette année particulière pour le salon Mining World - dont on fête le 20e anniversaire, je voudrais remercier les organisateurs et partenaires de cette exposition de dimension internationale pour leur professionnalisme dans l'organisation de ce grand RDV des professionnels du secteur minier et des producteurs d'équipements et de technologies les plus récentes. Ce salon nous rappelleégalement – et c'est aussi une des clés du succès de Mining World, que le Kazakhstan est un grand pays minier. Le dynamisme de ce secteur est porteur de croissance et de développement pour tout le Kazakhstan du fait du temps long des cycles de développements miniers et des grandes perspectives qu'il offre dansle domaine de l'emploi. Il est aussi vecteur de grands projets industriels et c'est à dessein que les plus hautes autorités kazakhstanaises encouragent le secteur à doubler la production minière tout en réduisant l'impact environnemental lié à l'exploitation.

La France – partenaire du Kazakhstan dans le secteur minier à travers de grands projets, participe cette année encore au salon Mining World. Ses entreprises réunies sur le pavillon France proposentleurs technologies et savoir-faire, pour certaines très innovantes. Je me réjouis de voir nos entreprises plus nombreuses chaque année et de resserrer ainsi les relations de coopération et d'amitiés qui nous unissent au Kazakhstan.

On behalf of the organizers we welcome the guests and participants of the 20th Anniversary Central Asian International Exhibition MiningWorld Central Asia 2014, the 11th Kazakhstan International Exhibition Kazcomak 2014 and the 7th Central Asian International Exhibition KazMet 2014!

Traditional Mining and Metallurgical Industry week, which combines the projects of MiningWorld Central Asia, Kazcomak and KazMet, is a significant event for professionals and annually these events attract the attention of a wide range of companies. It is gratifying to note that, as in previous years, the events are attended by Kazakhstan and international companies, being world leaders in the field of mining, metallurgy, metal processing, road and industrial construction.

Exhibitions Kazcomak and KazMet, and particularly MiningWorld Central Asia that celebrates this year the twentieth anniversary, follow steadily their fundamental principles – the maximum reflection of trends in the industry, focusing on updates and innovative technologies, materials and products, and the improvement of the information component through theme events and roundtables.

These projects provide an excellent opportunity to get acquainted at one platform with the latest technological innovations and equipment, to discuss the future procurement plans, to consult with manufacturers about the technical possibilities and to choose the most suitable solutions for one's own business.
