Rentgen ulita InstagramAt the exhibition that is taking place in Almaty from September 29 - October 1, at the Element and Nordfelt stand, an engineer will demonstrate the scanning process of a three-ton pump case. At the same time, certain volunteers will obtain their own 3D models. The scanning will take only 5-10 minutes, and then the guests of the stand will receive their own 3D portraits in a variety of formats to their emails.

The manufacturer of spare and wear parts for mining equipment, Element, uses 3D scanning to accurately simulate parts. Thanks to this very scanning technology, specialists are able to solve several tasks.

Quality control

Element’s engineers selectively scan parts from each delivery to then compare the resulting 3D model of the part with the existing drawings. In case of quality deviation, the entire batch is checked, and the non-conforming products are returned for revision. This is the final stage before parts are sent to the customer.

Reverse engineering

Sometimes, even OEM parts for mining equipment do not achieve their expected results. Most often, this is due to the peculiarities of operation at a particular enterprise. Reverse engineering is aimed at designing and producing an improved version of the parts. The designers finalize models as a result of scanning. They update the model to simplify the installation of a part or extend its service life while adapting it to a specific kind of ore.

Working with exclusive equipment

Scanning allows Element to model parts of rare equipment, create drawings based on them, and make suitable parts from materials that meet the operating conditions. In this case, when opening the supply line, customers save money and achieve independence from sole suppliers.

Element will take part in the “Central-Asian International Mining Exploration & Mining Equipment Exhibition”, which will be held from September 29 to October 1, 2021, at CBC Atakent, Almaty. At Element’s stand, measuring 130 square meters, customers and partners will be able to see with their own eyes spare and wear parts for crushing equipment, pumps, conveyor componentsб wear-resistant materials, and industrial parts. Leading specialists and top managers from Element will meet visitors at stand Z202 and shall be more than happy to present Element’s key products.
