Innovation in the Mining Industry: ERGA Introduces a Unique Ore Separation Complex

ERGA has unveiled Russia’s first industrial complex for the separation of large ore fragments. Measuring over 15 meters in length and weighing 60 tons, the system delivers primary ore separation at a capacity of up to 1,000 tons per hour, directly at the mining site.

The complex is designed for dry magnetic beneficiation of highly magnetic ore fragments up to 450 mm in size, extracted from contact zones and subjected to initial crushing. Its primary function is to separate the non-magnetic fraction, consisting of rock with minimal iron content. The technology is based on a powerful magnetic field generated by ERGA’s specially engineered magnetic system.

Field application of the complex within cyclic-flow operations has demonstrated substantial benefits: it significantly reduces the cost of transporting mined material and lowers emissions from heavy-duty vehicles. After leaving the magnetic field, ore fragments are directed for transport, while magnetic attraction ensures extraction and separation into magnetic and non-magnetic products. If required, the operator can also use the system as a transport solution, diverting material to conveyors for either magnetic or non-magnetic fractions. The ERGA LMR complex increases mining efficiency, streamlines logistics, and optimizes processes directly on site.

ERGA’s engineers are currently developing a modification with adjustable magnetic induction. This advancement will make the process even more versatile, enabling operators to fine-tune separation parameters to match the specific ore composition at the site.

More than just equipment, ERGA provides a full cycle of services — from design, supply, and installation to commissioning and long-term support. Each solution is tailored to the customer’s specific requirements and guaranteed for performance.
